Freshman/Transfer Music Scholarships

$10,000 MUSIC MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS ($2,500 per year over four years)

How to Apply:
  1. Submit a Freshman/Transfer music scholarship application form
    Students not possessing a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) will not be considered for this scholarship amount.
  2. Audition in your performance area (live or via DVD/VHS format)
    (i.e. voice, piano, horn, violin, etc.)
The scholarship recipient must:
  1. Be a music major taking a full course load (at least 12 semester hours), and making satisfactory progress toward the degree each semester in residence at Southern Adventist University
  2. Maintain a GPA of 3.00
  3. Be in good and regular standing as a university student and music major

$8,000 MUSIC MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS ($2,000 per year over four years)

    (i.e. voice, piano, horn, violin, etc.)
The scholarship recipient must:
  1. Be a music major taking a full course load (at least 12 semester hours), and making satisfactory progress toward the degree each semester in residence at Southern Adventist University
  2. Maintain a GPA of 3.00
  3. Be in good and regular standing as a university student and music major

$4,000 MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS ($1,000 per year over four years)

  2. Audition in your performance area (live or via DVD/VHS format)
    (i.e. voice, piano, horn, violin, etc.)
The scholarship recipient must:
  1. Take a full course load (at least 12 semester hours) each semester in residence at Southern Adventist University
  2. Be registered for the appropriate music ensemble* in the performance area for which you have received a scholarship and take a second music course, which may be private lessons or an additional ensemble, each semester.
  3. Maintain a GPA of 2.5
  4. Be in good and regular standing as a university student
*Appropriate music ensembles are defined as follows:
voice
Die Meistersinger or Bel Canto
brass/winds/percussion
Wind Symphony
strings
Symphony Orchestra
